Khompewtur music began disseminating somewhere around the turn of the century. 

Primarily rock based, Khompewtur focuses on modernistic guitar riffing. The loopy droning sound can be quite the lovely hypnotic, something perhaps only a machine could love.

The origins of the music came from stalking the recording forums of the file-sharing kazaa days of antiquity.  Occasionally you can find a khomp.vx based subroutine surface in some remote corner of the web where it appears he is testing new sounds or emotions but rumors that Khompewtur is actually one of the first silicon based life forms formulated from the captured memories and thought patterns of an organic based human have been unquashable.

As to what sort of agenda a cyber-being would have, no one has been able to fathom.
